A new start and updates of my life right now

So I started a new blogg because I wanted to start fresh. The past two years I've discovered new interests and new aspects of myself. I've gone through things that have changed me and I want to share that. Amongst those new things is the renewal of my love for reading, knitting and crocheting.
I want to set a goal for myself to review more books, both here and on Goodreads, and talk about everyday things.

And I want to discuss in this post a book I read lately: The book 'Only Half Alive' by Konstanz Silverbow.
I don't usually read YA (young adult) books but I came across this book on one of the facebook groups I'm following. Can't really remember wich one, but I'm glad I discovered this author.
The book is a wellwritten piece of work, set in our world but infused with a heavy dose of magic and intrigue. I've already written a review on Goodreads, but I truly liked it very much; the main character is a teenager, Christina, on the verge of adulthood and is thrust into troubles and encounter/meets both friends and foes, all the while struggeling with the lonelieness of being diffrent.
I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read not only about the paranormal but about a character that goes through change and grows.

I've also liked Konstanz's page on facebook because I always like to see how an author treats her/his fans. I like supporting new up and coming authors by reading their books, but the treatment of fans and the interaction between us fans and them plays a HUGE role in me continueing buying other books. Konstanz lately had a health-scare and went to the doctors, and to live in the US is to pay outrageous summs of money. All her savings towards publishing another of her books was depleated and she asked her fans to donate to her gofund-page. And because of her treatment towards her fans and the excellency of her books, I decided to donate. I was later relieved and glad that she got the funds to publish her book in time (the second of her series: 'Finding Gold, Book two: The Enchanted Rose'). I look forward to reading more of her books!

And as to what else has happened in my life:
I've gotten a job that entails cleaning utillities for those having trouble with everyday life, like special mattresses or walking aids, etc. I feel confident and I truly enjoy going to work, even though it's only two times a week. A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with a male co-worker making unwanted advances. I brought it to the attention of my boss, who with the other bosses which are male, (the area is divided in women and men, women being on the second floor and men on the first floor).
The man was asked several times to stop commenting about my looks, and after failing to realise/failing to obey the rules he also got suspended. Both me and friends who supported me and gave me the strength to stand up to him, celebrated his abscence!
So now I feel safe and respected, and I no longer feel dread at going to work.

And I would now thank you, who ever reads this, and I hope that you enjoy future posts on this blog!
